Social Competencies are integrated through all classroom programs. In addition, the Watsonia Campus and the Bundoora Campus each have a specialist teacher who teaches specific Social Competencies skills.
In the Primary School, the content focuses on developing the social and emotional capabilities that all young people need to acquire in order to be successful in school, experience wellbeing, and have positive relationships including making contributions to others and the community.
The program in the Secondary School maintains this focus but diversifies to include sexual education and drug education. The goal of the school-based Sexuality Education and Drug Education programs is to build on knowledge, skills, and behaviours, thus enabling young people to make responsible and safe choices.
Concord School also has leadership programs incorporating Class Captains, Student Representative Council (SRC) and School Captains.
A Breakfast Club at the Bundoora Campus offers a free breakfast daily to all students who choose to participate.
Students also participate in the Life Education program each year which educates the students in regard to healthy eating, physical activity, bullying, cyber-safety, drugs, alcohol, smoking and positive communication.
